What is the difference between a 3D furniture configurator and a shelving configurator?
A typical 3D furniture configurator changes the look of one product, such as the fabric on a sofa. A shelving or wardrobe configurator plans a whole system: it fits modules to the measurements of a room, checks that every component is compatible and calculates the parts list and price for the complete solution.
What should a wardrobe or closet planner include?
Room measurements, wall-to-wall and corner planning, a rule engine for valid combinations, real-time 3D on desktop and mobile, an automatic parts list and price, and a direct path to the cart, the store or the installer. Augmented reality helps customers see the result in their own room.
