From engineering
data to aftermarket.
CAD and product data form the foundation. Anipart uses the product geometry and imported data to automatically create structure, connect information to components and generate exploded views. From CAD to aftermarket, the data you already have does the work.
Engineering has the data.
Aftermarket rebuilds
it by hand.
Illustrations, parts lists and manuals are often recreated manually from engineering data. It takes time, and the result starts to age the day it is published. Going from CAD to aftermarket should not mean starting over.
Manual illustration
Exploded views are drawn again for every product and revision.
Disconnected data
Parts lists and drawings are maintained in separate places.
Slow updates
Product changes take a long time to reach aftermarket.
From CAD to aftermarket:
let the product data
do the heavy lifting.

The product tree
becomes the structure.
Anipart reads the assembly structure from CAD and turns it into navigable chapters, from the complete product down to individual components.
- Chapters created from the assembly structure
- Navigation from product to component
- No manual restructuring
Information linked
to every component.
Imported product data, such as part numbers, descriptions and metadata, is connected to the right components automatically.
- Part numbers and metadata matched to geometry
- Documents and media attached per component
- One source of truth

Exploded views
without drawing them.
Anipart generates exploded views from the geometry, numbered and linked to the parts list, ready to adjust where needed.
- Generated from geometry
- Numbered and linked to parts
- Adjustable in Studio
Product changes,
handled visually.
When parts are replaced, a visual matching tool lets new objects take over the properties of the old ones. Animations and links stay intact.
- Visual matching of replaced parts
- Animations and links kept
- Faster revisions

Import
CAD files and product data are imported into Anipart.

Content is refined in Studio and published to users.
What you need
to get started.
CAD is the best starting point. Existing 3D files and product data can also be assessed during an initial analysis.

Common questions about files, data and automation.
Which CAD formats are supported?
Anipart works with common CAD and 3D formats. We confirm the best route for your files during the initial analysis.
How is confidential engineering data handled?
Your CAD data stays under your control. Anipart only needs the geometry and structure required for aftermarket use, and models can be simplified or stripped of internal detail before import. Content can be hosted on your own infrastructure, and access to each product is controlled per user, group and content package in Anipart Dashboard.
Do we need to simplify our CAD models?
Usually not. Models are optimised for real-time use during import. We review your files in the initial analysis and advise if any preparation is needed.
How are product revisions handled?
Changed parts can be matched visually to the ones they replace, so structure, links and animations carry over to the new revision.
How much is created automatically?
Structure, component links and exploded views are generated from the geometry and product data. Procedures and animations are then added in Studio.
